
The Viloria-Petit laboratory at the University of Guelph is seeking a motivated post-doctoral fellow to conduct comparative oncology research in the fields of extracellular vesicles and liquid biopsies. The research will specifically involve the characterization of extracellular vesicle cargo from the plasma of dogs and humans, including proteomics and miRNomics, to identify and validate osteosarcoma biomarkers.
The PDF will be part of a multidisciplinary team of 11 PIs and their trainees at the Ontario Veterinary College of the University of Guelph, where they will be exposed to a unique environment of basic, translational and clinical veterinary cancer research. Candidates should have completed their PhD work by the end of February 2025 and should have experience in cancer biology and/or molecular pathology research, cell and tissue imaging, as well as knowledge of bioinformatics and the most used tools in this field. A keen interest in extracellular vesicles and in liquid biopsies is a desired feature. All interested parties that meet the above requirements are invited to apply.
